Railroad Accident |
A serious collision occurred on the
Northeastern Railroad between the up and down night freight trains,
between eleven and twelve o'clock Tuesday night, twenty eight miles from
Charleston. One of the firemen, Mr. George, was so badly injured that he
died a few hours afterwards. One of the locomotives was very badly
damaged and two box cars were smashed up. |
This accident caused the detention of the
mail passenger train due at eight o'clock in the morning until six
o'clock p. m. |
