Injury to the South Carolina Railroad |
The injury to the South Carolina Railroad,
near Hamburg, caused by the late freshet in the Savannah river, has
been repaired. Mails and passengers have not been detained in
consequence of the injury, as they were ferried across the gap in the
road, to and from the city. By the perseverance and determination of
the energetic superintendent, Mr. Marley, the damage has been
repaired, and the trains restored to their wonted regularity. |
