The annual report of the
Petersburg and Weldon Railroad Company {the
Petersburg RR} shows a falling off of nearly $17,000 in gross
receipts as compared with the previous year, three-fourths of which is
in the passenger department, caused by the interruption of travel
arising out of the disturbed condition of the country during the
latter part of the year. The aggregate debt of the company has been
reduced to $99,266. |
