From Gordon
Telegraph Communication Re-established with Macon
 
   The following dispatch was received at the Telegraph Office, in this city, last night:
Gordon, July 31
 
   There was a fight near Macon yesterday. It is reported we repulsed the enemy.
   Walnut Creek bridge is destroyed.
   Telegraph communication is re-established with Macon.
   All the cars at Gordon, except those containing families, were burned. The locomotives were only slightly damaged. {on the Central (of Georgia)}
