1000 Hands Wanted
The whole line of the Columbia & Hamburg Railroad is ready to be let. It is the desire and intention of the Company to press this work to early completion.
Contractors, who may be accepted are specially detailed by order of the Secretary of War, and all of their necessary supplies are exempt from impressment.
Shovels, Picks, &c., can be furnished by the Company, and unusual facilities for the procurement of provisions can be extended. Refugees are particularly invited to examine these proposals.
For further particulars, parties are referred to J. C. Terry, Esq.; Carrollton, Alabama, and to Engineer's Office at Augusta and Columbia.
