| From the reports of the
Superintendent and Treasurer of the Western & Atlantic Railroad
for the year ending 30th Sept., 1864, it appears that the gross income
of the Road was $2,006,428.84, and its nett income was $1,115,080.77.
The Superintendent says: |
| "The above exhibit of
nett earnings would have been considerably increased if proceeds from
the sale of cotton could have been realized in time for this
report." |
