We have delivered the 7 1/4 miles of Iron at Gaston & the 1
1/2 miles at Weldon intending for Danville & shall commence the delivery
at Raleigh on Monday of the balance on Thursday. Sanford
{President, Petersburg RR} will be able to
haul it from Gaston. You could take the iron from Weldon for Wilmington.
Mr Sumner {Superintendent, North Carolina RR}
may be able to take it up {from the Roanoke
Valley RR} as fast to Greensboro as they need it
{for building the Piedmont RR}. |
