Dear Sir, |
The Box Car & Flat Car No 5
have both arrived at Goldsboro. Flat Car No 17 is still at the Company
Shops N. C. -- Headquarters of the North Carolina
RR}. Mr. Sumner {Superintendent, North
Carolina RR} thought he would have to have a Bumper cast for this
Car. I told him where I thought he could find the old Bumper & the Brake
to telegraphy for the Bumper. Mr Sumner promised to have this Car
repaired & send it down as soon as possible. Shall I remain here until
this Car is repaired & sent down or return immediately. |
I wrote to you yesterday &
directed my letter to Goldsboro. I ran Flat Car No 17 attached to a
Gravel Train last Friday. I saw Mr Sumner about it Saturday. I ??? it or
be several days before the Car is repaired I visit the Shops early every
day. |
Very Respectfully |
