It having become a military
necessity to remove the rolling stock and machinery of the Memphis &
Charleston R. R., the President of the Company
{Sam Tate} is authorized to take all proper and useful measures
for securing, ordering and keeping said stock and property in efficient
order. To which end he is empowered to build as per agreement with the
authorities of the Mobile & Ohio R. R. the necessary side tracks,
temporary sheds, dig wells, and erect such other improvements as may be
needful for the ends in view at a place on the line of the Mobile & Ohio
R. R. about the South End of the switch at Meridian Station and running
south half a mile, with an area to the west of say two hundred yards,
said works being deemed of public necessity. |
