The General wants a train of platform cars at Decatur large
as can be judiciously handled in getting artillery and waggons across
the river. The head of the column it is expected will be ready to cross
on the 10th. He also wants as large a train to be in readiness at the
river as you can collect on the 12th to carry troops from Decatur to
Corinth. Let us know what is to be expected. |
