Sixty cars will be at Courtland
{Memphis & Charleston RR} tomorrow morning. Put all your infantry
in them, leaving wagons, heavy baggage, cavalry and artillery behind,
and proceed as fast as possible to join General Beauregard at Corinth.
Order Genl. Wood to put as many of his infantry as he can in the cars
you can spare, and the forty (40) to be at Courtland the next night, and
go to Iuka. |
