| Sir, |
| You will proceed at once to Maj Wadley's
Plantation with a wagon and bring forward the machinery of the V. S.
& T. Rail Road Company {Vicksburg, Shreveport
& Texas RR}. You are ordered to impress wagons, & use every
exertion to remove the machinery. You will loose no time in carrying
out this order. Capt Al?? will furnish you with transportation
necessary. In case the breaking of wagons, condition of roads,
should make it impossible to remove the machinery, you will destroy
it. By no means let it fall into the hands of the enemy. |
