We have ineffectually endeavoured to procure a supply of
corn here for the support of our railroad hands. I propose to send an
agent to No. Carolina to purchase about 1000 bushels for the above
purpose. In order to avoid any impediment permit me as that you will
give me written authority for its transportation to this city. |
