Captain,
I enclose a requisition from Capt Sims of the Oglethorpe Light Infantry which he is very anxious to have filled. This company has never been provided with cross belts and experience has shown that they are essential to the health & comfort of the men, as the weight of a cartridge box filled with ammunition presses too heavily on the stomach, when attached to a waist belt. The other articles, Haversacks &c, are wanted for recruits who have joined the company since it was mustered into service
Yours very ??ty
