You will herewith receive Duplicate pay rolls for guarding Bridges on
this road for the Months of October & November, the original rolls
having been mislayed, either at the War Department or at the Auditors
office. I find by enquiry at the Auditors Office that the a/cs for
August, September & December have been audited but they have not
received a/cs for Oct & Nov. You will please give this your early
attention as it was cash advanced by the Company to be refunded by the
War Department as per agreement between our Presd Mr Harvie, and the
former Secr of War, "Mr Randolph." |
