| I respectfully request that the Qr Master
at Houston be directed to procure a locomotive and at least six flat
cars from the {Houston & Texas} Central R
Road to be used between Sabine City and Taylors bayou and afterwards
Beaumont {Eastern Texas RR} for immediate
use. |
| In wet weather the R Road will be the only
line of communication by land as it is impossible to improve the wagon
roads short of planking it which is not feasible in any reasonable time. |
| The Central R. R. is better supplied with
rolling stock than any other road. |
