| In your letter of the 21st you
state that you direct that boxes shall be marked or numbered. A good
many of the boxes when they are received here, are much injured & others
are broken to pieces, because of the great rush on the
{Richmond & Danville} R. R. In such cases I
have had to get other boxes so as to secure the contents. So much
freight has been sent out here & with a limited supply of trains & hands
it has suffered considerably at the Depot. I have given my personal
attention, all the time ***** |
