You will proceed to Danville &
take charge of any flour that may be sent up on the
{Richmond &} Danville RR to be stored at
the different Depots, between Roanoke Station & Danville
{about 8 stations over a 50 mile section of track}. |
The Superintendent of the
Danville RR informs this Dept that in the Depots between Roanoke Station
& Danville inclusive 6000 Bbls flour {75 car
loads} can be stored. You will therefore see to the flour being
properly taken care of at the different Depots, and report to this
office from time to time. This flour is intended to be sent on to
Charlotte N. C. Say from Danville by wagons to Greensborough and from
Roanoke and South Boston Stations by boats to Clarksville and from these
respective points by RR to Capt E M Lowe ACS at Charlotte N C.
{by way of the Roanoke Valley RR, Raleigh & Gaston
RR and North Carolina RR} Capt W T Sutherlin Q. M at Danville
will furnish you all facilities fr carrying out these instructions. |
