I will thank you to get a detail for C. W. Swan, Co. J 6th Va
Regt Mahones Brigade Andersons Division. The Services of Mr Swan are very
essential to this Co as he is a Carpenter and a Bridge builder and we are in
great need of that class of men. |

Respy referred to Q. M. G. and would request that the detail be granted. The
bridges on this road need constant work and if competent men cannot be had
(& they all are in the army) fatal consequences arise from delay to
transportation must ensue. |
