Dear Sir, |
|
We made application for the detail of Daniel Ligon, of
Davidson's Battery, 13th Va Battalion, near Petersburg some two
months, and when Mr. McLean was in Richmond, he got it through the
War Department, & it was sent to the Captain of Ligon's Company, who
returned it. We are greatly in want of a Blacksmith, and I
understand that his Captain now says that if the application is
renewed he will not oppose it. May I trouble to look into the matter
& assist in getting his detail & oblige. |
