| I accordance with Gen Order No
118 from A&I Genl Office I have the honor of reporting my duties & by
whom assigned to this Post. |
| I was first assigned by Maj E
E McLoan then Chief Q M of this Department and relieved for a few weeks
on a/c of sickness, upon return for duty, was reassigned to same Post by
Gen Price. Since that time have been continuously in charge. My duties
are to attend to the Hospital, two Commission & District Tax Collectors
stationed at this Post. Also to purchase Army supplies of all
descriptions. I am at present under orders from Maj Barbour Chief Q M
Dept West to erect Warehouse sufficient for storage of 200000 Bushels of
corn & corresponding amount of forage. From Chief Pay Master Department
of Gulf to pay off officers & men stationed at this Post & Such as may
be here under orders or, on sick furlough. In conclusion have the honor
