| As efficient officers seem to
be needed in the direction of some parts of the RR Transportation of the
CS I respectfully ask leave to recommend to you Maj J W Eldridge of the
CS Artillery who from intimate association with him in camp I know to be
an officer of extraordinary energy & perseverance, faithful efficient &
untiring in whatever duty he is called upon to perform & I believe the
interest of the service would be greatly promoted by confiding to him
the management of any part of the RR Transportation of your Department
in which you may need the services of such an officer. |
