   I certify that the above account is correct and just; that the articles have been accounted for me on my property return for the fourth quarter ending on the 31 day of December 1863.

   Received at Mt. Jackson the 31 day of December 1862 of Thos R Sharp A Quartermaster C. S. Army, the sum of Eight hundred & twenty three Dollars and --- Cents, in full of the above account.

   Impressed property paid for by Government Decm 1862. The date of purchase in the margin of acct appended being the date on which the Government ceased to pay hire on the property, is therefore assumed, as the correct date of purchase.

   This day personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace within and for the County aforesaid in the State of Virginia William M Sibert and made oath that the within is a true copy of the appraisement of property impressed for the use of the Confederate States of America by Capt T. R. Sharp Q. M. C. S. A. and that he has received no pay for said horses, waggon or harness; neither has he received any pay for the hire of the same and that no part of said horses waggon or harness has been returned to him.
