| Major Stevenson who has been
for six weeks confined to his room, was taken this afternoon by advise
of his physician to his country residence. |
| Not knowing the instructions
given Major Stevens, I hope you will appreciate my motive in asking
for same. |
| Allow me to present the names
of those officers stationed here on duty, in this Dept. viz. Capts
Cunningham, Cruse, Patton, Fogg, Massengale, Bransford, and myself,
who have not received orders or instructions and await same. |
