Sir,

You will proceed to Florence SC and enter upon duty there
in charge of Rail Road Transportation. You will receive for your pay
the sum of one hundred & Forty Dolls ($140) per month, which
amount you cna draw from any Quartermaster having pay funds. You will
obey all orders from the Quartermaster Genl's, Office or the Rail Road
Bureau, Maj Chars S. Carrington QM or myself.
