| I have the honor to
respectfully apply for your recommendation, in behalf of Captain Chs. M.
Williams, A. Q. M. for promotion. Captn Williams has been a
Quartermaster in this Department for a long time past, and has at all
times filled the onerous and responsible duties of his position to my
entire satisfaction, and for the best interests of the Government. This
application is earnestly recommended, as I can assure, no officer of
this Department is better entitled to the honor requested. This
promotion will be to the benefit of the Government, and will only be the
due reward of one who has at all times deserved commendation for his
services. |
