I have the honor to request your
assistance in obtaining an extension of detail of Private "Theo. Martin"
Co "B" 2nd S. C. Cavalry. His present detail will expire the 31st inst,
and his regiment has been removed to Wilmington N. C., the General
Comd'g at Charleston cannot renew the detail. Mr Martin is a first class
mechanic and is now engaged at work in Columbia workshops & his services
are indispensible. Your kind attention will much oblige. |
