| I wish to get the detail of J. B. Roach Co
G, 5th Florida Regiment. Mr Roach was detailed to Maj Maynard and at the
revocation of details by order of the Secy of War he was sent with the
local forces to the lines, where he is now serving It seems that Maj
Maynard has no further use for him. |
| We have lost four smiths from one shop in
the last four months & one the best we had died from the effects of
exposure in doing military duty I hope it will be found expedient to
give me the detail of this man. |
