| As a matter of duty as well as of
regret, I inform you that in the recent operations Hunter's Army
have damaged the RRd {Virginia & Tennessee RR}
between this post and points west to such extent that I am
informed by the Supt it will use you some three or four months to
plan it again in running order. |

much Leather and other material I thought this information would be
of interest to you. |
