| I am in receipt of yours of the 16th instant, saying
that "in overlooking" your paymasters a/c forwarded to this office by
you on the 10th you have "discovered an error in the pay roll of Company
F Florida Vols. by deducting from the footings the pay of 4 men instead
of 3 who had not signed" &c. |
| In reply I have to inform you that an
examination of the pay roll of the company mentioned in your letter, has
been made in this office and it is found that the following named
privates did not sign the roll. The deductions as made by you on the
roll are consequently correct, viz: Elisha W. Harrold $55.46
Curtis James $55.46 George S. Adams $55.46 Wm F. Webb
