| Your letter of the 6th inst. in regard to
the protection needed on the {Virginia} Central
Rail Road to enable you to complete the repairs now being made thereon
has been submitted, through the Secretary of War, to Genl Lee. Col.
Mumford's Cavalry has been ordered to the point indicated by you, and
I hope will give you all the protection you may need. |
