| Yours of May 23rd stating want
of funds for payment of your Road has been received. In reply I beg
leave to state that money has been remitted of Major Mischaeloffsky at
Macon to settle your account. I deem it proper to say that the delay
has been caused, not by the failure of duty on the part of that
officer but by reason of the difficulty of obtaining the requisite
funds from the Treasury. |
