When any description of freight is
transported over any Railroad, for the Confederate States, and
delivered to a connecting railroad, the receipt of the agent of such
connecting road, describing the articles transported, the weight
thereof, the number of miles conveyed by the delivering road, and the
amount to which said road is entitled for the service performed, will
be received as a valid voucher in the settlement of claims for such
services. |
The forms of certificate for
transportation of freight is given on the next page. |
Accompanying this Circular is the form of
Ticket to be used in all cases for the transportation of persons in
the Military Service of the Confederate States.

Rail road agents at the termini of the
principal roads, are requested to have numbers of the tickets printed,
to be placed in the hands of authorized local agents of the
Quartermaster Department for signature and issue when required. |
