| I am in receipt of your letter of the 16th, reporting
the cargoes of the Government Steamers recently arrived at Wilmington. I
have ordered Major Lee to forward the stores received for this
Department at Charleston, direct to this point, and I enclose you a
similar order to be delivered to Major Cameron. |
| You can return to your post at Richmond so soon as you
shall have concluded the business upon which you are now engaged, and
forwarded to this point the stores received at Wilmington by the
Steamers referred to. |
