| I have your letter of 16th inst requesting that Capt
Morfit AQM be sent to see to the forwarding of sugar and molasses
detained at Meridian and other RR Depots to this destination. I cannot
dispense with Capt Morfits services here at this time. The Quarter
Master at Selma will receive special orders in reference to the
detention at Meridian. If you will designate the other Depots where
subsistence stores are detained, I will give the necessary orders t have
them forwarded. |
| If you will send an agent I will give him all the
weight of my authority of the RRoads to hasten stores to their
destinations. |
