| I have received your letter of the 11th
instant, and have requested a remittance on your estimate for May of
$20,000.00. |
| You will perceive from the Circular
addressed to you, that certificates for transportation of
troops and supplies payable to Railroad Companies, are to be forwarded
to this office, whereupon the proper bonds of the Confederate States
will at once be issued, and returned to you for delivery to the
parties and the payment placed in your abstract of disbursements --
hence nothing has been remitted you on the item in your estimate for transportation. |
