| By direction of the Secretary of War, the
sum of twelve thousand dollars will be advanced to the Pensacola &
Georgia Rail road Company, to enable them to connect their road with
the Savannah, Albany & Gulf Rail road; said advance to be refunded
to the Confederate States in transportation. |
| You are accordingly instructed to advance
that sum to the Pensacola & Georgia Rail road Company, taking the
necessary receipt from its Officers for the Same, and also, an
obligation binding the Company, to refund the Money to the Government
in transportation of public stores. |
