| You must rely on procuring hired
Transportation from Mobile to Pensacola until the Rail Road is
completed from Montgomery to Pensacola which will be about the 1st May
proximo. After the road is complete, supplies from Mobile destined for
Pensacola will be sent to Montgomery to be forwarded to their
destination. In an emergency at this time send supplies this way for
Pensacola. The Gap in the Road is being reduced very Rapidly -- the
hauling now is not more than ten miles. This arrangement renders it
unnecessary for you to have a public wagon train. |
