Quartermaster General's Department
Richmond, March 3rd, 1864

Lt. Col. Sims
Petersburg, Va.

Sir,
Mr. Seixas has been directed to turn over 400 B/c {bales of cotton, probably} to Capt. Sims, at Augusta, to be transported to Major Cameron himself, at Wilmington.
Please do all in your power to secure its delivery there by the 10th instant, as I have assured Maj. C. who writes in behalf of Power, Lowe & Co. that everything that could be done should be, to insure the receipt of the cotton by that time.
A R. Lawton, Q. M. Genl
