Sir, |
Whenever any complaint of the
mismanagement of Rail Road transportation is brought before me, I am
prompt to require reports from the parties complained of in order to
fix the blame where it belongs. Your telegram of 17th complaining that
freight delivered by your road was blocked up at Charlotte Junction,
was at once referred to Major Rhett, with instructions to remedy the
evil complained of. I now enclose for your information, copies of the
several dispatches and endorsements. Should your freight be again so
accumulated at any point as to impair your efficiency, I shall be glad
to hear from you. |
