Mr. R. R. Cuyler
Prest. Geo. Cent. R. R.  {President, Central (of Georgia) RR}
Savannah, Geo.

Sir,
   There has been purchased on Government accounts, in South Western Georgia, a large supply of corn, which it is found impracticable to have transported over the S. W. {South Western} Rail Road owing to its limited rolling stock.
   At Albany, a great deal of this corn has been stored and is in danger of being materially damaged, unless speedily moved.
   In view of the importance of preserving all the forage which can be procured, I respectfully suggest the inquiry whether you cannot transfer a portion of the rolling stock of the Georgia Central Rail Road to the South Western Road, to aid in removing this corn, to the points where it is needed. This transfer would be only temporary, and the benefit to the public interest, to result from it, will be readily perceived.
A. C. Myers, Q. M. Genl.
