| I have received from Mr F Ruffin Jr at Graham N. C. a
letter in which he states that large quantities of oats & some hay can
be had at that place and its vicinity. He says that the oats can be had
at 70 to 80 cts pr hundred delivered at the Rail Road and suggests that
they should be bought up without it being known that the government
needs them. As you are agent for the purchase of such supplies in that
region of country, I communicate to you the contents of Mr Rs letter. |
