| Your letter of the 29th instant has been
received. |
| It is an invariable rule in the Quarter
Master's Office settling accounts for Rail Road Transportation to
disallow all vouchers that evidence transportation for all Departments
of the Government, except the War Department and its Bureau. |
| The Rail Road Companies are instructed to
present such claims to the Department for which the transportation is
done. |
