| Benjamin L. Jacobs, Special Transportation
Agent of this Department, was captured by the enemy, while on duty
with the Army of Northern Virginia, in Pennsylvania. He was sent, it
is understood, to Fort Delaware. |
| Mr. Jacobs was not an Officer, or enlisted
man,, and I ask your attention to his case, as one which may not
present special difficulties in effecting his exchange or release. |
