| Your telegram to Lieutenant Colonel Rives
in charge of Engineer Bureau, asking an order for transportation from
West Point, Georgia, to Greensboro, North Carolina, for forty negroes,
and one white man, has been referred to this Bureau. |
| In accordance with your request, I
herewith enclose an order on Captain Toomer, Assistant Quarter Master,
at West Point to supply the desired transportation upon your
requisition, the cost to be paid by the Piedmont Road. |
