| It is a matter of public importance that
Major Severson QM and Mr Watson messenger for Trans. Miss. Dept. should
proceed south at once, the recent injuries to the Piedmont Road prevent
travel on that route, and I therefore beg that you will furnish to them
the means of reaching the present terminus of the Weldon Road
{Petersburg RR} as promptly as possible. |
