| The Secretary of War decides that hands
hired for such R. R.'s as the Q. M. Genl. may approve as necessary for
Govt. Transportation will be held exempted from ordinary impressment
for work or labor on fortifications and will be credited on all calls
for such purposes. But no credits or exemptions will be allowed on
account of service anywhere in the impressments under Special act of
Congress for employment with armies. |
