Huntsville Ala., December 27, 1862
States besides the pig iron at Florence there are about six hundred bales cotton at that place {about 20 car loads} abandoned by the enemy, and many subscribers are ready to deliver it amounting to several thousand bales. Desires transportation furnished him to remove it.
