| Resply retd to Sec of War. At the time of
the delay complained of by Genl Bragg there was severe pressure upon the
RRoad chiefly to the fact that the large portion of its rolling stock
had been removed by Genl Bragg to another road for the purpose of
transporting Genl Longstreets command. By the dispatch from Transpn QM
at Atlanta enclosed herein it will be seen that the troops had been sent
up the road two days previous to the date of Gen B letter though of
course that fact must have been unknown to Genl B |
