| Waiting determination to complete RR from
Wilmington to Union Spgs. Genl Taylor has instructed him to procure
tools to prosecute work. Also that F. Gilmer represents that his RR has
recd no pay since March & that RR & steamboat Cos are very importunate
for pay. |

A road from there to Union Springs would be about 180 miles and was not
possible. I suspect the entry in the register is incorrect and should be
Montgomery to Union Springs -- about 45 miles.} |
